3 Phase Electrical Wiring in a European Home

At the power station, an electrical generator converts mechanical power into a set of 3 alternating electrical currents, one from each coil. In a lot of Europe, stoves are designed for a 3-section feed. Sometimes the individual heating units are connected between section and neutral to permit the flow of electricity to appliances. Yellow is no longer permitted in the 2007 revision of wiring code ASNZS 3000. European color codes are used for each IEC or flex cables such as extension cables.
